Smart Automation in Action – Animal Receiving

An example of Smart Automation can be found in the process of receiving animals at your facility.  When animals are received, the simple action of pressing a Received button in RPM automatically:

• Creates animal records
• Charges the Protocol Grant Account for the cost of the animals and ongoing care costs
• Generates and prints cage card records
• Decrements the number of animals remaining in the protocol
• Updates the current facility census
• Emails the investigator ordering the animals that they were successfully received and added to the protocol
